Unit 3: Printing Your Design
After your Cricut has finished cutting, it’s time to reveal your sticker by removing the extra vinyl — a process called weeding.
Unload the mat by pressing the Load/Unload button.
Peel the vinyl sheet off the mat carefully.
Use a weeding tool (or tweezers) to lift away the excess vinyl around your design.
Remove any small pieces inside letters or shapes, leaving only your final design on the backing paper.
Weeding helps your final sticker stand out cleanly and ensures smooth application later.
Pro Tip: For small or intricate designs, use a piece of transfer tape to hold vinyl scraps as you weed. It keeps your workspace neat.
